I have had the great fortune of having incredible motherly figures in my life. These include my mom, my grandmother, my mother-in-law and also my wife who is the mother of my two kids. Moms bring a level of love and service not often seen in other parts of our culture. From see the sleepless nights with a child, to the breastfeeding, the bathing, the dressing, the feeding and the non-stop serving that goes on with being a mother. It never ceases to amaze me the level of love that is seen between a mother and a child. There are times when I am jealous of the return of love that goes to moms but in the end they so deserve it.
My mom always showed me love, compassion, fairness and level-headedness. She taught me if you don’t have something nice to say to not say anything and to always look for the good in everyone and everything. These are traits I strive to remember and some days I’m better at it than others.
My mom got those traits from her mom, my grandmother who passed away 2 years ago. I was fortunate enough to be there for her last breath with my mom and dad. She was a truly incredible person whom I will never forget. She was almost 89 when she passed and didn’t want to die in a hospital. She had a do not resuscitate order and got all her wishes at the end. She only wanted medications that kept her comfortable not to try to try to keep her alive. I know she is where I got a lot of my beliefs about natural healing and staying away from drugs. I miss her all the time.
My wife shows me what its like to be a servant everyday. She continually puts other peoples needs ahead of her own and I can’t thank her enough for that. Her unconditional love warms my heart. She is the biggest reason for my current success in life and I love her with all my heart and continually work on being the best husband I can be. She is a great role model for that.
On Mothers Day I wanted to take the time to thank the moms in my life. The number one thing I learn from them is about being selfless. Putting other peoples needs ahead of mine and being a true servant. This is my ultimate aspiration and I am striving everyday to do it better. I want to serve you in the office, serve my children at home and serve my wife everyday.
I would like to extend this happy mothers day to all the moms, grandmas and great-grandmas in our office. I love and appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for entrusting your kids, grandkids and your health with us. We don’t take it lightly. We are honored by this. It is why we work tirelessly to make this a subluxation free community, where drugs and surgery are only used in true emergency situations. Together we can do this. Tell others about the incredible results you and your family have had under specific, scientific chiropractic care. Invite them to Dinner-with the-Docs or to a Drs. Report or for an exam in the office. They’ll thank you for life!
Happy Mothers Day.
