A Sniper is a highly trained individual in either the military or police fields. They start out with the same training that all the others around them receive, which in many cases is an incredible amount and takes a lot of discipline to achieve. Basic training for police officers is intense and of course in the military is known to be extremely difficult. After a person finishes their basic training they might decide at some point to become specially trained as a Sniper. This takes incredible ability, commitment and most importantly huge hours of highly specified training. After countless hours of repetitive practice a soldier might become a sniper. Snipers are called in to do highly specific and important work. Their level of EXPERTISE sets them apart from “regular” soldiers. This in know way belittles what the “regular” soldier does but does set the sniper apart from them.
Dr. Pat and myself are doing “sniper training”. No, not the kind that kills people but actually the kind that saves lives. This past weekend we sponsored a technique seminar in our office and had almost 40 chiropractors and students attend. We flew in a highly scientific, specific chiropractic sniper from Huntington, NY. His name is Dr. Andy Forelli and he is a master of the art of the Upper Cervical adjustment(the upper neck).
As many of you might already know, the upper neck is where the Brainstem is located. The brainstem is often referred to as “Houston Control Center” because of how many of the functions of the body are controlled at this region of the spinal cord. Pressure at this level of the cord can be devastating to the health of the entire body including but not limited to high blood pressure, depression, vision problems, ear infections, chronic colds and infections, lowered immune responses, headaches, behavior problems, sinus and allergy issues and many more. This is how important this area is. Misalignments of the spine in this region, called vertebral subluxations, are very damaging to the overall performance of the body and an individuals ability to express LIFE to its fullest.
The PRACTICE of chiropractic is divided into 3 distinct divisions, each equally important. That is the SCIENCE, ART AND PHILOSOPHY. The science never changes because the human body is always the same. The only thing that changes is our understanding of the science. The Philosophy has never changed in the 114 years since chiropractic was founded. Its says that there is an INTELLIGENCE that controls and coordinates our body and it travels through the nerve system and that interference to the nerve system from a misaligned vertebra can interfere with that intelligence. So this weekend we worked more on the ART, the ADJUSTMENT. We worked on becoming “snipers” at the upper cervical region. We put in 12 hours over the past 2 days to try to get our technique better than its ever been before and I know we have succeeded.
We know most of you have had great results in our office already but you should see even more miracles than ever in the near future. We thank you for allowing us to serve you and hope you will join us in our mission of saving lives in our community. If you haven’t referred anybody to the office or haven’t brought anyone to Dinner with the Docs please don’t wait any longer. When people are subluxated they are disconnected from the SOURCE OF LIFE. This is not a way to go through life. Please help us help others to make this world a little safer and a little healthier. They’ll thank you for LIFE!!!
Our next Dinner with the Docs is this Tuesday, May 19th at 7:00 at Landmark restaurant. Let them know at the front desk who you will be bringing. It’s too important not to.
With Love and Life,
Dr. Brian
